Convenience-store loyalty programs

Which point brand each major konbini uses, and how to combine store and payment rewards.

Direct answers

Each chain has its own program: 7-Eleven/nanaco, Lawson/Ponta and d POINT, FamilyMart/V Points and FamiPay, Ministop/WAON — present the membership code, then pay with the best eligible route.

Key points

  • 7-Eleven: nanaco and Seven Mile; Lawson: Ponta and d POINT.
  • FamilyMart: V Points (former T-Point) and FamiPay; Ministop: WAON.
  • Present the store membership code before paying where required.
  • The store app may add coupons or missions independent of the payment reward.
  • SMBC NL smartphone-touch can reach 7% at eligible chains (method-specific).

Which program each chain uses

Convenience stores each anchor a different point brand. Seven-Eleven uses nanaco (plus Seven Mile through the app). Lawson participates in both Ponta and d POINT, so you can present either. FamilyMart uses V Points (the former T-Point) and its own FamiPay wallet, which adds a cash-back layer. Ministop, in the AEON group, uses WAON POINT. Presenting the correct membership code before paying is what earns the merchant point; the payment method earns a separate reward on top.

Combining store and payment rewards

The efficient pattern is to scan the store membership, apply any app coupon, then pay with the best eligible route — a rewarding card or a QR wallet. Where you use SMBC’s selected-store smartphone-touch route at eligible chains, the reward can reach seven percent, but only via the exact eligible smartphone contactless path; physical-card touch and iD are excluded, and you must not add a separate base 0.5% because seven percent already includes it. Card rewards are normally calculated on the amount after any coupon discount.

Who this is for

  • Convenience-store shoppers

What this is not

  • People seeking one point that covers every konbini
Important cautions
  • Do not add a base 0.5% on top of a 7% category rate that already includes it.

Frequently asked questions

What is best for Seven-Eleven shoppers?

Compare nanaco/Seven benefits with the current eligible convenience-store card bonus (such as SMBC NL’s selected-store smartphone-touch route); the best payment can vary by purchase type. Scan the membership, apply coupons, then pay with the best eligible route.

What is best for Lawson shoppers?

Present Ponta or d POINT (Lawson participates in both), then pay with an eligible payment method. Where SMBC NL’s selected-store smartphone-touch route applies, it can reach 7% via the exact eligible path — but iD and physical-card touch are excluded.

What is best for FamilyMart shoppers?

Use V Point membership (the former T-Point) and FamiPay offers, then the card route actually eligible for the purchase. FamiPay adds a cash-back layer, and a rewarding card or QR wallet earns the payment reward on top of the merchant point.
